Enter our own native son, Michael Shamoun, a home-grown product of Corpus Christi! As a graduate of W.B. Ray High’s International Baccalaureate Program, Mr. Shamoun is shaping and re-shaping this fast-changing world of competition and intrigue. He is a logic design engineer currently leading a group of engineers and coders at Tesla contributing to the development of the Dojo AI Supercomputer.

Born and raised in south Texas, Mr. Shamoun went from Ray High to the University of Texas at Dallas earning a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 2017. He honed expertise in the field by furthering his studies at the University of Texas in Austin with a Master’s degree in Computer Architecture and Embedded Systems in 2020. His professional trajectory includes key roles he played as a software developer at General Motors and as a logic design engineer at IBM before joining Tesla to work on latest and evolving AI technology.

Mr. Shamoun will address the WACST audience on his experience as an innovative thinker in the crucial field of EV automation and its global impact. He will share views on how American innovation is shaping international competition, trade and business—how we got here, where we stand and where we are heading.
