CYBER-WARFARE

We are all facing cyber attacks now days and so is our nation.. We are totally dependent on computers and the internet, GPS. Cyber-warfare looks to be catastrophic. Our speaker is world recognized for his knowledge of Cyber Security & Information Technology; Insurgency & Irregular Warfare/CT.

Dr. G. Alexander Crowther grew up in Ethiopia, Brazil, Bolivia and Indonesia where his father worked as a civil engineer. He has extensive government service, including a decade each in the Cold War, the post-Cold War era and the post 9/11 era. He has worked as a Western Hemisphere specialist, a strategist and a political advisor. He served overseas eight times: three times in Latin America, twice in Korea, twice in Iraq and once in Belgium. He has a variety of awards from the Departments of Defense and State as well as the Canadian government. His work at the strategic level includes tours at the Army Staff, the Joint Staff J5 (Strategic Plans & Policies), and as a Research Professor at Strategic Studies Institute (the US Army’s think tank). He was personally selected to be a Counterterrorism Advisor for the US Ambassador to Iraq, a Political Advisor for the MNC-I Commander and a Special Assistant for the Supreme Allied Commander, Europe where his responsibilities included Cyber Policy.

He is currently a Senior Research Fellow and Director of Research at the Center for Technology and National Security Policy (CTNSP) where he specializes in Cyber Policy. He is also an Adjunct Senior Political Scientist at the RAND Corporation and an Adjunct Research Professor at the Strategic Studies Institute.

Alex has a BA in International Relations from Tufts University, an MS in International Relations from Troy University, and a Ph.D. in International Development from Tulane University. He was also an International Security Studies Fellow at the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy. He has professional fluency in Spanish and specializes in cyber policy; strategy; Western Hemisphere issues; international development; insurgency/counterinsurgency; Joint, Inter-agency, Intergovernmental and Multinational (JIIM) issues and the Comprehensive Approach.

The buffet luncheon will open at 11:30 AM. Dr. Crowther will speak from Noon to 1 PM and will take questions from audience. Luncheon prices are $35 for members, $45 for non-members, and $27 for full time students or military in uniform.There is a 15% Early Bird discounted price for the luncheon which ends noon Monday August 7. Being a member will save you $10 on this event.
